tedtalks_splash.jpgIf you need to use up some of your valuable time watching video on the web (who doesn’t?) then you should have a look at TEDTalks. Since June, TED have been podcasting past TED conference speakers, with multiple new videos every week. What is TED? Lets consult the wikipedia article:

TED (Technology Entertainment Design) is an annual conference in Monterey, California that describes itself as a global community of remarkable people and remarkable ideas. Its content is extremely broad, including science, art, business, global issues, architecture, music, and comedy. Speakers are a “who’s who” of luminaries from a variety of communities. Speakers have included Jane Goodall, Freeman Dyson, Bill Gates, Billy Graham, Bono, Sergey Brin, Larry Page, Richard Dawkins, and Steve Pinker.

Some of my favorite video so far are Richard Dawkins, Ray Kurzweil, Michael Shermer, Burt Rutan, Malcom Gladwell, David Deutsch, Ze Frank, and Al Gore (he’s funny – who knew?). I’ve still got a few I want to watch such as Bono, Jimmy Wales and Aubrey de Grey (there are around 45 talks up so far). Link to all videos.
