3d face generation

Posted on April 23, 2005

These people look interesting. They appear to be selling applications that can generate three dimensional models of human faces either at random or from a limited number of regular photographs. I don’t know if this is impressive or not, or how well the applications actually work (I’m just going by their website), but random face generation certainly sounds fun. There’s a video demonstration if you are interested, but I’m too lazy because apparently I would have to download a new codec to view it. It amuses me when companies think I should download more software just to view their advertising (‘virtual tour’ plugins are a good example of this concept).
