Diary of the Long Now

One last thing tonight - why I’m doing this. I like the idea that if someone had done this ten thousand years ago, then this year someone would have had the pleasure of owning a diary of ten thousand pages where the first entry reads “Darn cold again today. How long is an Ice Age supposed to last anyway?” I think he could safely conclude that, over the years, the weather had improved. Perhaps, with the way we are messing with the environment, the last entry in this diary will start “Darn hot again today. How long is Global Warming supposed to last anyway?”
Well, if you don’t count the preface as the first post. This is the first real post.
